Frogmore Papermill – Tuesday 20th July 2021
Date: Tuesday 20th July 2021
Price: £40 per person – Includes guided tour of papermill, canal boat ride (25 mins) & Fish & Chip lunch
Information: Frogmore Paper Mill is the world’s oldest mechanised paper mill, the birthplace of paper’s industrial revolution. Now operated by a conservation charity, Frogmore is both a working paper mill and a heritage visitor experience.
The paper machines date from 1895 and 1902 and there is lots of letterpress printing equipment here on site, too. Learn the fascinating story of paper, its role in shaping the modern world and, if you’d like, make a sheet of your own. Guided tour of the mill included with one of the volunteer guides and undertake a short cruise down the river Gade to the Grand Union Canal. There’s lots do see, do and discover.
Please make us aware of any dietary requirements at time of booking.
Leaves from Bill’s Coach and Minibus Hire at 9.30am and leaves from Frogmore Papermill at 3.00pm.
